Jell-o Shots!

Over the years, we've grown accustomed to making jell-o
shots a tradition for our parade gatherings. At times, there are more
jell-o shots than real food in my fridge... Here are some of our
favorite recipes. (We decided to share the recipes here on the
webpage so we could find the recipes again from year to year.)
The basic recipe is pretty simple. Based on the
directions on the box, replace the cold water with your favorite liquor.
We (thanks Tim) have found that the large Pyrex measuring/mixing bowl
works best. Realistically, the liquor doesn't have to be top-shelf
either since the flavor frequently gets masked by the jell-o. Just
be careful to allow the boiling jell-o to cool a bit before adding the
liquor. Failure to let the mixture cool before adding the alcohol
will cause the alcohol to simply "burn" off.
